Class Description
Pilates is a method of body conditioning designed to develop and balance strength and flexibility. Its focus on a strong "powerhouse" or core is the key to its effectiveness. In this class, students will practice the mat work as it was designed by Joseph Pilates. They will learn how to effectively "work" each exercise, going beyond the choreography. They will also learn how to apply it to their bodies not just in class, but also in dancing or any other activities they do.
