Annie Mayer

Annie Mayer is originally from England, where she spent her childhood training and performing ballet, jazz, musical theater and tap. At Tufts University in Medford, MA she was a choreographer and performer with the student modern ensemble, "The Dance Collective" and performed at the American Colleges Dance Festival her senior year. Annie holds a Masters in Architecture from Columbia University. She has been studying rhythm tap in New York City since 1996 with Roxanne Butterfly, Heather Cornell, Barbara Duffy, Jeff Edmond & Charles Goddertz. She is Artistic Director of "Metronome", a rhythm tap dance company and is also a performer with Camara Dance Unlimited, a modern dance company.

Annie's classes focus on clarity and musicality; teaching technique as the basis from which to develop the skills and freedom to master and express yourself with rhythm tap.
