STEPS on Broadway® is the studio where professionals go to study in New York City.
Since 1979, Steps has been at the center of New York's diverse and electrifying dance scene. Whether studying ballet, tap, modern, musical theater, jazz or hip-hop, your students will be dancing along side some of the top professional dancers in the business.
Steps has established a tradition of excellence through its world-renowned staff of teachers, musicians, choreographers, performers and artistic directors. Located on the Upper West Side, Steps is equipped with 10 air-conditioned studios, a studio theater, dancewear boutique and café. These elements create an environment to help nurture the talent of your aspiring dancers and to encourage them to explore the many career opportunities in the dance world.
The Director of Group Programs will work with you to design a curriculum that is tailored to your students' needs. Groups may take private/master classes, participate in our daily scheduled classes, experience one of our special workshops, or attend lectures on a variety of dance-related topics. Whether you are a private studio, drill team, a university musical theater department or a ballet academy, your students will have a variety of artistic and stimulating experiences at Steps on Broadway.

Group Package Options
Steps offers numerous activities to select from as you create a personalized dance experience for you and your students.
Daily Scheduled Classes: Take class with the pros. Whether your students enjoy ballet, modern, jazz, tap, hip hop, theater dance or prefer exercise and strengthening classes such as pilates, yoga or Gyrokinesis®, Steps offers different level classes for everyone's needs.
(ages 12 and older)
Private/Master Classes: Steps offers
private/master classes for your students at any level in any discipline you request. Private/Master classes are recommended for large groups,
students under twelve years of age or for those seeking more intensive training.
Musical Theater Workshop: Learn a
production number from your favorite Broadway musical. Working with a vocal coach/musical director and choreographer, this workshop is perfect for singers and actors who move as well as for dancers who sing. The workshop culminates in a performance for the parents.
Performance Workshop: Get a jump on
your upcoming performance! Many of Steps' faculty serve as judges and choreographers for competitions and dance events around the country. Present your performance piece to our faculty and receive one-on-one advice and coaching on all aspects of the presentation.
Audition Workshop: Prepare your students for the real thing. This simulated professional audition helps students gain confidence, skills and practical knowledge on the art of auditioning.
Lecture/Discussion: Steps has a wide
network of professionals who are available to share their expertise with your students and parents on important topics such as nutrition, finding an agent, headshots and resumes.
