Faith Hunter Kimberling

Faith has a BA in English from Bucknell University, graduate credits in Dance Education from SUNY and a DEL teaching certificate from the 92nd Street Y. She has extensive experience performing in regional and off-Broadway theater in addition to concert dance. Favorite roles played include Cassie and Kristine/Judy in A Chorus Line, Tiger Lily in Peter Pan, Maggie in Brigadoon, Lorraine in 42nd Street, Marty in Grease, Geminae in Forum and the Satin doll in Sophisticated Ladies. Faith currently dances with Lori Belilove's Isadora Duncan Dance Company and C. Eule Dance. Ten years ago when she first came to the city, she started dancing with White Wave: Young Soon Kim, with whom danced for many years and had the opportunity to dance in China and Inner Mongolia. She has also worked with Anna Sokolow, Molissa Fenley, Edisa Weeks, Linda Diamond and others. She has performed in NYC on stages from the Lincoln Center Rose Theater, Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall, the Brooklyn Arts Museum, and the Hammerstein Ballroom to small loft studios and off-Broadway venues such as La Mama and the Gene Frankel Theater. In her studies she has had the opportunity to learn and perform choreography by Lyn Simonsen, Martha Graham, Jose Limon, Doris Humphrey, Nacho Duato, Colin Conor, Doug Varone, and Mark Morris. Faith teaches Duncan technique, tap, creative movement, and ballet to all ages. She has taught in private studios, preschools and in public schools as a guest artist in residence and after-school teacher, and as a master Isadora Duncan teacher on tour. She is also a mommy and loves her own two little dancers!
