ELITE DANCE INTENSIVE
ages 14-18
Admission to the Elite Dance Intensive is by invitation only
Participants are selected by Executive Director, Joe Lanteri and The Steps on Broadway Academy Director, Jennifer Kreichman. Eligible students may be invited following participation in the The Steps on Broadway Academy Summer Intensive.
The Elite Dance Intensive offers outstanding pre-professional dancers ages 14-18 the unique opportunity to participate in a curated selection of open classes at the renowned Steps on Broadway studios. Students train daily in a variety of styles, including ballet, modern, contemporary, and jazz taught by our esteemed faculty. Each cohort of dancers engages in an exclusive choreographic workshop with an industry professional, culminating in a live studio showing.
Past EDI dancers have had the opportunity to take part in classes led by Jerry Mitchell, Ellenore Scott, Krystyna Resavy, Heather Hawk, Kate Loh, Jessica Lee Goldyn, Yosmell Calderon and Shanna Irwin, and created an original pieces choreographed by Jourdan Epstein, Jon Bond, Anthony Lomuljo, and Georgina Pazcoguin.

There is no dress code for the EDI as the dancers will be participating in open classes. We recommend that dancers bring all their dance shoes, including ballet flats and pointe shoes (optional), character heels, and/or jazz flats. Clothing for ballet, jazz, modern, and contemporary classes that they feel most comfortable in.
Bring one black leotard or top and black shorts/leggings/pants for Showcase/Filming.
We have a partnership with the Bloch store which is just a few blocks away if there’s anything you forget.
