The Artists Talk Series are special events designed for all dance students interested in the art form, as well as for those interested in a performance career. The series consist of discussions with internationally renowned industry professionals, book signings, DVD launch parties, and film screenings. The series fosters a creative and provocative learning environment, and the opportunity to network with dance, theater and music professionals.
Past series: Getting the Job: Audition Workshop with agents, casting directors, choreographers and performance coaches; a three-part series on Choreography: The Creative Process Unraveled with such well-known choreographers as Donald Byrd, Dwight Rhoden, Pascal Rioult, Tony Stevens, and Christopher Wheeldon; and panels co-produced with Back Stage, Enhancing Your Performance: Movement for Actors & Acting for Dancers. Moderators for these events include Wendy Perron (Dance Magazine), Virginia Johnson (Dance Theater of Harlem), and Andrew Salomon (Back Stage).
