Kat Steers
Kat Steers is trained in both the Royal Academy of Dance and Cecchetti methods of ballet. She received her B.F.A. in modern dance from The North Carolina School of The Arts.
Kat's most cherished job was becoming a Radio City Rockette. She danced with the Rockettes for 18 years. Other credits include West Side Story, Will Rogers Follies, Oklahoma, Steel Pier, Victor Victoria, Lance Burton in Las Vegas and The Follies Bergere. She traveled the world with Magician David Copperfield and appeared on Broadway in "Dreams and Nightmares". Kat has performed in numerous industrials, commercials, TV appearances, and is a member of Equity Agva, Aftra, and Sag.
Kat has been teaching at Steps Youth Programs since 2012. She has taught ages 2 to 15 in Ballet Tap and Jazz. Kat has taught master classes in precision dance for various dance studios in and out of the city as well as Backstage Performing Arts Competition. Kat has taught many Rockette Experience classes and Summer Intensives at Radio City. She has helped train some of the most current Rockettes. Kat has also taught for National Dance Institute, which brings dance to the public schools here in NYC. Kat has enjoyed Judging for a variety of dance competitions throughout her career.
Kat is certified in The Stott Method of Pilates and in pre and postnatal pilates. She is a NASM Certified personal trainer. She has taught at Physique 57, The Body, and currently Exhale Spa here in NYC.
