Performance/Company Affiliations:
New York City Opera Ballet, New Jersey Ballet, Staten Island Ballet, Eugene Ballet (OR), Ontario Ballet Theater (Canada), Maryland Ballet, Berkshire Ballet; with Anglo-American Ballet toured Edinburgh Festival, Houston International Festival, Lincoln Center. A Co-Director of Omega Dance Company, a professional liturgical dance company since 2012 having danced there for over 20 years, she also directs Dance Ministries at The Church of the Village.

Choreography Experience:
Omega Dance Company productions. including National Cathedral, Washington DC, investiture of presiding US Bishop, 2006; choreographs/directs Annual Christmas Pageant at The Church of the Village (many SAS students perform!); Immigrant Son, The Migrant Musical, (NYTF 2018), Young People's Ballet Ensemble for Dancewave, regional and recital ballet productions in metro NYC area for many years

Teaching Experience:
  • School at Steps at Steps on Broadway since 1999: all Pre-Dance levels through Basic Ballet, taught and subbed for levels up through Intermediate
  • Adult Open Classes at Steps on Broadway; weekly schedule at Peridance Capezio Center; Ballet II and choreographer for Young People's Ballet Ensemble at Dancewave. She has developed a special "Intro to Ballet" workshops for adult beginners with colleague Mary Burns combining Pilates for Dancers with beginning ballet vocabulary

Class description:
Martha believes dance unites body, mind and spirit, regardless of the level or age of the student. Young Dancer classes focus on interaction, joy of movement and musical responsiveness. As students progress, the focus shifts to body awareness, building technique, movement quality and musicality.
